Overview of Our Work

Repairs and upgrades to your off-road transportation require specialized components and workmanship to ensure the strength and functionality of the drivetrain and related parts’/systems. For example, we handle all things driveshaft–repairs, conversions, and upgrades–so that the engine’s power reaches the wheels and turns safely. As a related repair, we make driveline angle corrections to ensure optimal balance between performance and vibration. Also, see us for transmission work. Our technicians make repairs and conversions as well as those needed for clutches. This allows for proper working and desired gear ratios. Our mechanics do transfer case repairs and conversions, too. We make differential repairs and modifications, including installing lockers to enhance traction. The transmission gear, transfer case, and differential/axle gear ratios allow for an optimized final drive ratio (FDR). While a passenger car on a daily drive needs less than 50 FDR, trails and towing call for 50-79, intermediate trails and heavy towing need  80-109, and rock crawls require 110-130. For strength and control, count on our staff for custom axles and the control you’ll get from steering conversions and upgrades. In addition, we do disc brake and master cylinder conversions plus brake boosters. Finally, let us assist you with the increased suspension demands of your off-road vehicle, including suspension installation on solid-axle 4WD automobiles and Jeeps, including springovers.
